At Watford Quality Care Centre on Monday, November 19, 2018, Verna Maxine Johnson (nee Simpson) formerly of Appin passed away in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband James D. Johnson (2009) and her 2 sisters Marion Knight and Donna Dobbin and 1 brother Murray Simpson. Survived by 2 brothers-in-law Bill Dobbin and Alex Johnson and 1 sister-in-law Florence Johnson, as well as several nieces and nephews and their families. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 23 at 11 a.m. Rev. Amanda MacMillan officiating. Interment to follow at the Appin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Appin Presbyterian Church. Verna’s family expresses their sincere appreciation to the Staff of Watford Quality Care Centre for their compassionate care over the past few years.
