On the morning of Monday, January 27, 2020, Trevor Stephen Pavey passed away unexpectedly at his home in Alvinston, Ontario in his 43rd year. His loss is mourned by children Natalia, Hayden and Blaine and their mother Roxanne, parents Steve & Kim Pavey and Arlene & Lee Morris, his siblings Tyler (Cassie), Travis (Amy), Chelsea, Jena (Mike) and Brittany (Scott) and cousin Jennifer (Alex) with whom he shared a special kinship. He was preceded in death by grandparents Ralph and Velma Pavey, Robert Ducharme and Charlene and Victor Lafreniere. He is predeceased by uncle Mike (Kim), and will be lovingly remembered by aunts and uncles Gerry (Raymond), Tammy (Darren), Fred (Doreen), Rick (Nicole), Roger (Mary), Armond (Shelly), Eric, Arno (Kim), Julie-Ann as well as many cousins and close friends.
He was a father who wore his heart on his sleeve and wasn’t shy about sharing in his children’s many accomplishments. He was well known to hold court on all subjects and carried both the conversation and the laughter with him wherever he went. His attention to detail and mathematical mind served him well as he progressed in his career from roof truss builder to his final calling as a designer. It is still unclear whether it was his proficiency at his craft, or his gift of gab which was most appreciated by his colleagues and friends. His spare time was often spent enjoying the company of others or engaged in friendly competition. As a child, Trevor enjoyed spending time go-karting and miniature golfing with his friends and family. He was so good it earned him his TV commercial debut! Whether it was Gears of War, Pokemon GO or a game of euchre, Trevor always strived, and often succeeded in earning his place at the top of the leaderboard. Friends and family, spread far and wide, are invited to come together to celebrate his life on Friday, January 31st at Van Heck Funeral Home, 3232 River Street, Alvinston from 7-9PM. A small reception will follow at the Alvinston Legion to toast his farewell. Interment will be attended by immediate family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
