Ruth was a teacher and her career began in Brantford in 1947.  She taught locally at Mosa Central School and retired from St. Charles Catholic School in Glencoe. She was a member of Trinity United Church in Glencoe and sang in the choir, member of the Book Club, Rummoli Club, Teachers’ Federation and instrumental in organizing the Meals on Wheels Program in Glencoe.  Ruth loved to travel and had visited every continent.  Her favourite destination was the family cottage at Goderich where she spent every summer season. Holidays and special occasions brought her great joy when she would dress up in costumes and decorate.  Cats and dogs had a special place in her heart.  She was still supporting three foster children through World Vision.  A life well lived and she will be missed by those who knew her.
