With family at his side, Ronald “Scotty” Crawford, formerly of Glencoe, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy in his 90th year. Survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Jean (McCallum), and children Bob Crawford (Myrna), Carol Crawford and Jean Ann Crawford-Smith (Jamie). Predeceased by son Jim Crawford (2015). Grandfather of Jason Johnston, Dana Standeaven (Dave) and Carly Crawford. Great-grandfather of Scott and Anna Standeaven, Brendan and Campbell Johnston. Predeceased by his sibling Elizabeth McRae, Sarah McDonald, Jean Pole, Duncan, Alex and John A. Crawford and sister-in-law Margaret Williams. Nieces and nephews mourn his passing as do the multitude of friends he collected during his very full life. Ron was a long-time farmer in Ekfrid Twp., the municipality that he represented as councilor, reeve, road superintendent and Middlesex County Warden. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes St., Glencoe on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 7 at 11a.m. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Lorne Lodge #282 AF & AM will conduct a service at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. The Crawford family wishes to thank the staff at Seasons and Strathmere Lodge for all the support they have been.
