At Four Counties Health Service, Newbury on Monday August 22, 2016, Raymond Leland Haggith of Glencoe in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Yvonne Haggith (Neve) for 64 years. Proud father of Brian (Mary Margaret) of Caledonia, Nancy VanLieshout (Henry) of Strathroy and Donna Scattolon (Paul) of Strathroy. Dear grandpa of Andrew, Rebecca, Danielle, Amie, Kristopher, Jonathan, Dominic and great grandpa of Asher, Harley, Owen and Graham. Survived by his siblings Violet Fiddler, Kenneth (Shirley) of Glencoe and Richard of London. Predeceased by his son Douglas (2012) and 13 brothers and 2 sisters as well as his parents Russell and Clara Haggith. Ray was a life long resident of Glencoe. He was a mill wright at Emco Ltd. in London for 31 years and self employed handyman throughout his life, well known to lend a helping hand to seniors and shut ins throughout the community. He was one of the founding members of the ELKS Lodge in Glencoe. Ray was proud of his family, his community and a proud Canadian. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 1-2 pm where the funeral service will be held Saturday, August 27th at 2pm, with Pastor Jamie Greenwood officiating. Cremation with interment at Oakland Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to Faith Pentecostal Assembly (Glencoe) or a charity of your choice in Ray’s name would be appreciated.
