At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 Peter Janssen of Strathroy and formerly of Glencoe passed away in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Wilma Janssen. Dear father of Elizabeth (Jay) Burtwistle of London, Paul (Marie) Janssen of Mount Brydges, Michelle (John) Gravett of Newmarket, Yvonne (Matthew) Chappus of Amherstburg, Michael Janssen of Burlington and Richard (Kelly) Janssen of Glencoe. Loving grandfather of Carson, Ian, Emily, Benjamin, Owen, Abbey, Emmerson, Carlie, Janssen, Oliver, Simon, Mackenzie and Cooper. Survived by his sister Gertrude Dingelstad of Listowel and fondly remembered by his family in Holland. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Garnier Church, 244 Stella Ave., Glencoe on Friday, August 19 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. D. Matthew Bedard officiating. Interment to follow at North American Martyrs Cemetery, Wardsville. Memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association, Brain Tumor Foundation or Melanoma Network of Canada.
