At Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy on Monday, July 22, 2019, Patricia Alicia Schmidt of Glencoe passed away in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Bert in 2006. She is survived by her children, Peggy McKeown, Colleen (Leigh) Hopper, Thomas Schmidt and Richard Schmidt, her 12 grandchildren and several great –grandchildren and 1 brother Richard (Cheryle) Hamilton. Predeceased by 2 sisters. Pat was member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Glencoe and the Anglican Women, 50-year member of Girl Guides, long time coordinator of Vacation Bible School and World Day of Prayer in the community. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe, Rev. Bonnie Rayner officiating. Inurnment will take place later in the afternoon at Milverton. Memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Anglican Church, Glencoe or Quad County Support Services.
