On Friday, June 5, 2015, Norma Dell Davidson of Glencoe died in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth C. Davidson (1965). Dearly loved Mother of the late Karol Lynn Theophilopoulos (Aug 28, 2002) and Mary Davidson and devoted grandmother to Ed (Marlene) Theophilopoulos and cherished great grandmother to Gavin and Tyler.
Norma was the eldest daughter of the late Wm. and Hazel (Taylor) Van Camp of Belgrave. Dear sister to late Clare & Gladys Van Camp, Jack & Jean Van Camp, Donna and Ken Johnson and is survived by her sister Kay Harris & Bob Ebel (2014), Glenn (Verlaine (2009)) Van Camp, nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Norma was a 1946 graduate of Victoria Hospital in London and proprietor of C. E. Davidson & Son Jewellers in Glencoe for many years, and later a nurse at the Alvinston Medical Centre & Beattie Haven in Wardsville for several years. She was an integral member in the initial years of the Glencoe Figure Skating and was active in Trinity United UCW before managing the family business until its 90th year. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, June 8 at 11 a.m. Rev. Jim Breen officiating. Private interment at Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe. Memorial donations may be made to Four Counties Health Services – Adult Day Program or Palliative Care Unit.
