Mary Eileen Saylor, a lifelong resident of Bothwell passed away at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Daughter of the late Charles and Louella Johnston and beloved wife of 50 years of the late Gordon Saylor. Predeceased by her 3 brothers, Lee (late Marjory), Murray, and Ray (Irene) Sayler. Loving mother of David (Karin), Barbara (John) Dobie and Suzanne (Jack) Lutz. Patient and gentle grandmother of Dawn (Ben) Salomons, Ben (Elizabeth) Dobie, Bree (Paul) Antunes, Maura Dobie and Scott DeGeer, Ian Dobie and Lexy Campbell, Andrew (Jen) Burk, Kellan Lutz, Dan (Aliana) Saylor, Lauren, Heather, Dalia, Shaniah, Han and families. Sadly missed by her great grandchildren, Garrett (Shekina), Colten, Conner Salomons, Christian and Johnathan Dobie, Callum, Ella and Vida Antunes, Abigail Dobie and Samuel Burk.
Mom was an avid gardener, world traveller who loved animals and music, an attentive grandmother and great grandmother who always put the family first. She was a lady who loved to shop and spend time with her life long friends and try new crafts. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 11 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Cheryl Bolton officiating. Interment to follow at the Bothwell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Four Counties Health Services Foundation, Trinity United Church or Glencoe Animal Shelter.
