August 14, 1923- December 15, 2017. A life well lived with joy, humour and compassion for all living creatures. With great sadness, Jean’s family announces her sudden but peaceful passing at Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, in her 95th year, of Inwood. Survived and deeply loved by her sons Dennis (Shirley) and Murray (Raymonde). Cherished grandmother of Kristen (Christopher) Slote, Meghan Dudley and Jordan Dudley. Special great-grandmother of Bryn and Eamonn. Predeceased by her husband Morris (2009), her parents Thomas and Annie (Vokes) Munro, her sisters Margaret Routley and Edna Chapman and brothers Norman and Russell Munro. Special thanks to Meadowview Villa staff for their loving, compassionate care of Jean over the past five years. Visitation will be held at the Van Heck funeral Home, 3232 River Street, Alvinston on Wednesday, December 20 from 4-7 p.m where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Alvinston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Meadowview Villa Auxiliary or a charity of your choice.
