At Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, Helen Hnatyk, formerly of Glencoe passed away in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband John (1992). Beloved mother of Pat MacKinnon (late Bill 1994) and Bob Hnatyk (late Jane 2015). Dear grandmother of Shaun MacKinnon, Laura (Brad) Scott, Jason Hnatyk (Dyanne), Dan Hnatyk and Katie (Jared) Williamson and great-grandmother of Bryson and Jaycob. Also survived by 2 sisters-in-law Bea Hnatyk and Stella Jankiv as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 sisters Ann Tatarka and Irene Kucher and brother John Jankiv. Helen immigrated to Canada in 1936 and was forever grateful. She was kind and generous, was always smiling and many will miss her hugs. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Glencoe Presbyterian Church at 1:00p.m. followed by a reception and visitation. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery later that day. Memorial donations may be made to Four Counties Health Services Foundation.
