George Earley

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, George Graham Earley of Kerwood, ON passed away in his 80th year. An explanatory cattle man, mentor and community member. Married for 57 years to Lynda (Stuart) Earley, father of Mike and Nancy Earley, Martha Earley, Tim and Lisa Earley and Sara and Peter Kendall and their other son from PEI Bruce and Dawn MacKinnon. Papa to Meaghan, Brooke and Kade Earley, Jordan DeBackere, Jessica and Phil Silcox, Tate and Rhett Earley and Avery and Cole Kendall. Great-Papa to Brielle Silcox. Brother to Bev and Janet Earley, Bob Earley and Jill Hayman. Brother-in-law to Betty and Neil Tull, John and Lucille Stuart, Donna and Mike Hanisch and Barb and David Leedham. Survived by several nieces and nephews and many that referred to him as “Uncle George”. Predeceased by sister Marilyn and Hubert Freitag and sister-in-law Susan Earley. George devoted his life to the cattle and sheep industries, mentoring youth and auctioneering. He has enjoyed many friendships across the country through his cattle and sheep travels. He was well known in many circles and a dear friend to so many. He will be missed for his quick wit, opinions and guidance which covered a wide range of topics including phragmites, roads, politics and cattle. We thank Dr. Buma for his special care over the last 33 years since his farm accident that left him a quadriplegic. We have received special care from Dr. Grushka and all the nurses at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at the East Lambton Community Complex Event-Banquet Hall, 61 Centennial Ave., Watford ON on Wednesday, November 23 from 1-4pm with words of remembrance  at 2:30pm. (Recording will be available on this website). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Adelaide-Metcalfe (Kerwood) Firefighters Association or Ronald McDonald House.
