Peacefully, with family by his side, at Leamington District Memorial Hospital, on Monday, November 25, 2013, in his 94th year. Beloved and devoted husband for 71 years of Lila (Watson) Reycraft. Cherished father of Doug (Barb) of Glencoe, Ron (Marie) of Merlin, Gerald (Clara) of Glencoe and Joan (Bob Washburn) of Kingsville. Admired grandfather of Ed, Sean, Kathy, Jennifer, Nathan, Jonathan, Carrie, Joe, Vicki, and Christopher. Predeceased by grandson Brian (1987). Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Frank was a community minded spirit. He was an active member of Lorne Lodge 282, Glencoe, Napthali Lodge 413, Tilbury, Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of Canada, active member of the Glencoe Rotary Club, Reg Lovell Branch 219 Royal Canadian Legion and Glencoe Train Station Restoration Committee. After his military discharge, Frank and Lila farmed for many years in Mosa Township. Frank then earned his A.M.C.T. diploma from Queen’s University and accepted the position of Administrator Clerk of the Town of Tilbury until his retirement in 1985 at which time he and Lila returned to live in Glencoe, where Frank served a term on the municipal council. Visitation will be at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes st., Glencoe on Thursday November 28 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Legion Service at 6:30 p.m. and Masonic Service at 6:45 p.m. Funeral service from the funeral home on Friday, November 29 at 2:00p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Oakland Cemetery. Frank’s wishes were that memorial donations be made to a charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
