At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, Elmer James “Mick” Lumley of R.R. 2 Wardsville passed away in his 84th year. Beloved husband of 63 years to Shirley (nee Smith) Lumley. Dear father of Cathy Lumley (Herb McKenzie), Lorri Wardell (Joe) and Darrell Lumley (Tina) and grandfather of Shannon Wardell, Darrell, Matthew and Jarrett Lumley. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 5 brothers and sisters. Brother-in-law of Ken Smith (Jennie), Wendy Smith (Gary) and Kevin Smith (Goretti). Elmer was an active member of the Church of Christ, Glencoe. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, September 2 at 1:00 p.m. Evangelist Brian Sullivan officiating. Cremation with Inurnment at Oakland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
