At Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, Donald Urie Sutherland of Alvinston passed away in his 82ndyear. Predeceased by his beloved wife Nina (nee Redick) (2011). Survived by his daughter Sherry (Dave) Kennedy and his son Keith (Cindy) Sutherland. Loving grandpa to Janna and Erica Kennedy, Erinn and Turner Sutherland. Son of the late Pearl (nee Kelly) and Duncan Sutherland. Survived by siblings Elton of Olds AB, Shirley (Robert) Pulleyblank of Mayerthorpe AB, and Barry “Butch” (Jo-Ann) of Saskatoon SK and sisters-in-law Pat Redick and Anne Redick as well as several nieces and nephews and loving friend Vera Woods and her family. Don was dedicated volunteer firemen with Brooke-Alvinston for 25 years and a Cub Scout leader for many years. He worked 38 years for Polysar and drove for APC for many years after his retirement. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at the Alvinston Cemetery.
