Cynthia Kerr

On Saturday, January 12, 2019 Cynthia Mary Lou Kerr of Alvinston passed away in her 58thyear.  Survived by her husband Kenton Leitch, sons William and George Kerr and grandsons Ryan and Gavin.  Also survived by her mother Dianna Muise, sister Tammy and 2 brothers Ronald and Paul. Predeceased by her father Ronald Sheppard. Cynthia was a charismatic woman and loving mother. She always loved to dress to impress, every finger littered with diamonds and jewels, her neck full of chains shining bright. She was a model in her youth for quite some time, and avid gardener even receiving an award for best Garden in Alvinston. She had an amazing Green Thumb; to those that knew her and drove by her home you would see a beautiful display of bushes flowers, all kinds of colors, little gnomes and trinkets. Her house like a jungle of different flowers trees and ferns she loved to surround her with beautiful plants. Cynthia’s laugh was contagious, her smile warming, to those who are mourning she would want us to smile, to remember the good times to gather around and tell funny stories, to reminisce of the past and band together as family for the future. She was a strong woman A mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend of many, and best friend to a lucky few. Some words of comfort to all that knew her. She would have loved to read this.
-Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I did not die.

In keeping with Cynthia’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be a gathering to reminisce at a later date.
