Peacefully at his home in Melbourne on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, William “Bill” Auld passed away. Bill was born in Scotland in 1929 and immigrated to Canada in 1967. Beloved husband of Elsie (Vail) Auld. Dear father of David Auld (Susan Hagg) of Edmonton and the late Allan (1988) and Stewart (2010). Bill is survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren and his sister Gwen Callan of Perth, Scotland. Predeceased by brother James of Niddrie, Australia and brother Allan of Bathgate, Scotland. He will be remembered by three nieces in Scotland and three nieces in Australia. Friends may call at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held. Interment Longwood Cemetery, Melbourne. Memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Melbourne United Church.
