At the University Campus of London Health Sciences Centre, at 2:30 a.m on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, after a strong and courageous 3 month battle following a heart transplant, Peter Frederick Simpson “COPO Pete” of Glencoe, passed away at the age of 50 years. Beloved husband of Vicky (Johnston) Simpson. Loving Dad of Eric and his wife Sarah and Owen and his girlfriend Madison. Dear son of Betty Simpson and Stewart Simpson and brother of Mary and Ross Snider and Marg and Mike Mueller and brother-in-law of Gary and Sherri Johnston. Uncle to Mike Jr., Matt, Nik and Paige Mueller and Shawn Johnston. Peter will be loved and remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and especially for his passion of muscle cars and the impact he had on the classic car community. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home 172 Symes St., Glencoe on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be celebrated at St. Charles Garnier Catholic Church, 244 Stella st., Glencoe on Monday, January 28 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Kimberly Metelka to officiate. Interment to follow at the Oakland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Anglican Church, Glencoe.
