At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, Irene Carruthers of Melbourne passed away in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Glen (2001). Beloved mother of Sandra (Jim) Takeda, Linda Gingrich, Brenda (Don) Ryan and Cameron (Patty) Carruthers. Loved by her 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Leon Eaton. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 11th at 1:30 p.m (visitation 1 hour prior). Rev. Amanda MacMillan officiating. Interment to follow at the Longwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or Guthrie Presbyterian Church, Melbourne.
