Donald Wayne Hesketh, 58, passed away at his home in Tofield, Alberta on Saturday, December 1st, 2018. Born in Strathroy, Ontario on Nov. 24, 1960. Donald spent much of his life as an accomplished labourer in all facets of the construction industry and avid fisherman. He was a caring and loving father to his four children, Kyle Hesketh, Jerimiah Hesketh, Jessica (Cody) Wolfe, and Robert Hesketh (Darianne Harris) as well as his two step-children, Kelly and Dillon McRobert, and expected grandson, Cole Donald George Hesketh. Dear brother of Nancy (Brian) Hornick, Penny (Ted) Quenneville, Susan (Bob) Campbell, Ellen Wells (Jeff King), Dave (Maggie) Hesketh, George (Cathy) Hesketh, Jim (late Judy) Hesketh, Robert Hesketh and the late Gordon Hesketh (late Jacquie James) as well as many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his father George Hesketh and mother Catherine Hesketh (Pierce). Donald will be remembered most for his jolly outlook, green thumb, love of cooking, as well as his large and caring heart. He brought a lot of warmth, laughter and love into the lives of many people and will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Visitation Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe where the funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 10th at 1:30pm. Rev. Deb Dolbear-Van Bilsen officiating. Interment to follow at the Oakland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Glencoe.
