At Parkwood Hospital, London on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, Donald McRae Lee of Glencoe in his 91st year. Retired Captain of Royal Canadian Regiment. After 35 years of service, Don has fought his last battle. Beloved husband of Ruth Lee and the late Mary Lee (2004). Dear father of Ronald – Simcoe, Marianne (Brad) -West Lorne, Kenneth (Mary Ellen) -London, Rob (Donna) – St. Colombus. Fondly remembered by Ruth’s family, Rita Wakem-St. Marys, Jeannette (Bill) Unger – Aylmer, Nancy McDonald – West Lorne, Veronica (Todd) Henderson – Maple Ridge, BC. Loved by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Avard Lee (Helen) – Newmarket, and 2 sisters, Grace Lee and Doris Brown both of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Saturday, April 14 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Barbara Clark officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Trinity United Church.
