Pat Caza

CazaOn Sunday December 13, 2015, at Middlesex Terrace Nursing Home, Delaware, Pat Caza passed away in her 90th year. She is survived by 5 children, Dan Johnston (Gayle), Christine Johnston (Bob), Dianne Lilley (Steven), Barry Johnston predeceased, Bonnie Kouwenberg (Kees), April York (Mel). Also loved by her 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She leaves behind her special long time friend, John Kreikamp. Pat, also known as Opoo to her many grand and great grandchildren was born in England, a veteran of the WWII Pat came to Canada in 1945 as a war bride. She was an avid horsewoman and coach, introducing countless people to the horse world. She was a passionate participant in the Chatham Kent re enactment society where she designed and created many costumes and played many roles in their re enactments. Her hands were seldom idle, always sewing, knitting, drawing, or whatever inspired her. She volunteered countless hours teaching challenged adults and children to ride. She will be remembered for her passion for animals and her sense of humor. Go with the angels and be at peace Mom. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 18 at 11am Rev. D. Matthew Bedard officiating. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
