Billy Douglas

Peacefully at his home in Brooke Twp., on Monday, February 3, 2025, William Alexander “Billy” Douglas passed away with his family at his side in his 55th year. Beloved husband of Tammie (nee Smith).  Loving father of Carlie and her husband Logan,  Courtnie and her husband Shane.  Dear son of Jean and the late Bill Douglas (2007).  Survived by his sister Lori and her children Graydon, late Logan (2023) and Katelin (Nolan) and his sister-in-law Kristie (Jeff) and their children Alicia (David), Nic (Teagan) (Chet), Melissa and Aunt Sharon.  Predeceased by his cherished granddaughter Joy (2023) and in-laws Peter (2003) and Rachel (2024).  Billy will be missed by many cousins, extended family and friends. Billy spent his life on the farm, working everyday with his dad until his passing. And then continuing on with his wife and their family. He proudly owned and operated Newtime Farms Trucking for 25 years. Billy loved working in and with the agricultural community. Billy became passionate about hunting. When he wasn’t out hunting he was planning the next years hunt with his buddy Wayne. He also loved fishing, travelling in his motorhome, and most of all tractor pulling. Billy built so many friendships throughout his life. Whether it be through schooling, farming, tractor pulling or the Starfish community. He was so blessed and will be missed by many including his pups Mollie, Millie and Obie. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 11 a.m. (visitation 10 – 11) at the Brooke Alvinston Inwood Community Centre Complex, Alvinston. Interment to follow at the Alvinston Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House, London.
