At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Sunday, January 19, 2014, Maisie van der Hooft of R.R. 4 Appin in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of Leonard for nearly 69 years. Dear mother of Howard, Paul and the late Roger (2009) (Gail). Survived by 1 sister, Shelagh Lynham and sister-in-law of Edith Waldron, Willie (Lori) van der Hooft, Eileen van der Hooft. Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her infant grandson, sister Pearl Thomas (late Bryn), brother Eric and brothers-in-law, Joe and Fred van der Hooft and her parents Margaret and Albert Waldron. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes St., Glencoe on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at the Appin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Four Counties Health Services Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
