Peacefully at Watford Quality Care Centre, on Monday, July 1, 2013, Gordon Empey of Alvinston in his 82nd year. Survived by his wife Jean McAllister. Dear father of Stan Empey (Alida), Aileen Dana Blake, William Miller (Ange), Ricky Miller (Tavia), Kevin Miller (Lisa), late Leonard Empey (Karen Parish) and late Margaret Clark (Lennox Hamilton). Also survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as 1 brother Cecil Empey (Jean) and 2 sisters, Phyllis Empey and Loraine Hammond. Predeceased by 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Hope United Church, Alvinston at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Jim Breen officiating. Interment at Tillsonburg Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
