After a brief illness at the Victoria Campus of London Health Sciences Centre, with her family at her side, June May (Morrison) passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012, in her 90th year. She was a resident at Ashwood Manor, formerly of Glencoe and Appin. June was predeceased by her husband George E. May (1991), as well as her mother and father Dorothy (1978) and Charles Morrison (1964). Dear mother of Rosemary Dorothy Tyrrell, loving grandma to Jason (Wendy) and Shannon (Rob) and special nana to Sydney May Tyrrell. June is survived by two sisters-in-law, Catherine May and Lois Armstrong as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a former employee of Tender Tootsies, Glencoe where she worked for 38 years. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday February 27, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Matthew Penny officiating. Interment to follow at the Appin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
